Xilloc nominated for the SME L1mburg Innovation Award 2011

Xilloc Medical B.V. The company manufactures implants that are custom designed for each individual patient using 3D printing. Also the way of fixating the implant is already preprocessed through a unique system where physician specifies such positions. This procedure results in a perfect fit every time which means that that the physician no longer has to make the implant fit during implant surgery.

The winner will be announced Sunday, Oct. 30 during a live broadcast on L1 TV (16:50, repeated at 20.45). The SME L1mburg Innovation is an initiative of SME employers’ Limburg and the regional broadcaster L1. This year it will be the seventh time that such an award will be given. Jury Chairman Jérôme Verhagen, in daily life director of the regional developmentsociety LIOF will do this.

The Winner in 2010 was Pathofinder.  The Maastricht company developed a DNA test that analyses  22 agents of pneumonia (viruses and bacteria). This test gives the physician information more quickly to do a proper diagnosis.
