Surgical guides

A virtual surgical plan is only valuable if you can translate it accurately into the operating theatre. Surgical Guides make that translation possible. Based on CT data and 3D planning, we design patient-specific guides that fit the patient’s anatomy precisely. Depending on the procedure, different types of guides can be used, such as cutting, drilling and fibula guides. These guides direct cutting and drilling according to the predefined plan, allowing you to work in a controlled and predictable manner.

From resection to reconstruction

Supports precise execution of procedures

Surgical Guides are used in, among other things:

    • Osteotomies and bone resections
    • Reconstructive procedures, for example in the jaw or skull
    • Complex anatomy where reference points are limited
    • Procedures in which precise positioning and angulation are crucial
For greater confidence and a precise result

    From planning to controlled execution

From CT data to Surgical Guide

Based on CT data and a virtual plan, patient-specific guides are designed to fit a predetermined part of the patient’s bone.

    Precise positioning

The guide fits the patient’s anatomy in only one way. This makes it immediately clear where and how to operate, without relying on visual estimation in theatre.

    Controlled cutting and drilling

The guides direct cutting and drilling movements in the correct direction and at the correct angle. In this way, the predefined plan is followed accurately.

    Predictable result

By combining planning and guidance, the procedure can be carried out according to plan. This increases accuracy and provides greater confidence during surgery.
